China Steel Corp. (CSC) and Chung Hung Steel, the two major carbon steel producers in Taiwan will announce new price separately next week.
Market participants expected that CSC might hike its price for April and May.
Stimulated by this, Chung Hung Steel might also increase its price for March.
It is expected that CSC might rise in the range of US$30/ton and Chung Hung Steel is very possible to reach that level.
Industry sources said that the steel prices might rebound from the bottom in the short term since the raw material prices and steel prices have bottomed out. Besides, the steel stocks are low recently.
Affected by these factors, end user is positively to purchase for their stock.
